Clothes that command a room without making a sound. SOLÈNE presents Autumn Winter 2025 — a study in restraint, texture, and the extraordinary power of understatement.

Solène Marchand founded her eponymous house in Paris in 2007 with three bolts of deadstock wool, a rented studio on the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, and an absolute refusal to chase trends. Within two seasons, she was dressing women who had stopped explaining themselves to anyone.
Today, SOLÈNE operates from three ateliers — Paris, New York, and a small seasonal studio in Kyoto — each staffed by artisans who have trained for at least a decade. Every garment is cut by hand. Every hem is finished by a single person, start to completion.
We make 47 pieces per season. Not because we cannot make more, but because we refuse to. Each one is designed to be worn for thirty years and then passed on to someone who will wear it for thirty more.
A study in black wool and absence. The overcoat falls to the ankle, the shoulders built up in deliberate contrast to an almost apologetically simple interior lining. Worn with the Signet ring — nothing else required.
Deadstock cashmere in an off-white that resists being called anything as simple as white. The suit is cut with a deliberate ease — not relaxed, not oversized, simply liberated. Paired with the ivory gloves and nothing on the wrist.
A bias-cut gown in midnight crêpe that makes every other dress in the room look like it is trying. The back is the front. The front is a question. Bespoke commissions only — six week lead time from first fitting to delivery.
From Paris to New York, the critical consensus has been consistent: SOLÈNE is not a fashion brand. It is a point of view.
"SOLÈNE Marchand has done what every designer claims to aim for and almost none achieves: she has made clothes that make you forget you are wearing clothes. Which is to say, they make you entirely and purely yourself."
"In an industry addicted to the spectacle of its own excess, SOLÈNE is its own rebuke — quiet, precise, and devastatingly self-assured. The 47-piece limit per season is not a gimmick. It is a philosophy, and it is working."
"To wear SOLÈNE is to make a decision about what you value. The decision is: quality over quantity, permanence over trend, and the radical confidence of needing nothing more than the garment itself to communicate everything."
Everything we offer, we offer with the same single-minded commitment — absolute quality, and time taken to do it right.

View Jewellery →"I commissioned my wedding dress from SOLÈNE and Solène herself met with me twice. The gown arrived with a handwritten note explaining every material choice and why it had been made. I have never felt so considered as a person by anyone I was paying for a service."
"I've worn SOLÈNE for seven years. I have returned pieces for restoration twice. Both times they came back more beautiful than when I first received them. The relationship this house has with its own work is unlike anything else in fashion."
"The chalk cashmere suit I bought three seasons ago is the most worn item in my wardrobe. I wore it to a board meeting, to a funeral, and to dinner the same evening. It adapted to all three without changing. That is extraordinary design."
"My bespoke SOLÈNE overcoat cost more than any piece of clothing I had ever bought. I wore it every day for three winters. When I had it restored this year I understood for the first time what people mean when they talk about clothes as investments."
